Plan the label and artwork approval process early
Private label production requires artwork approval before packaging can be produced, and destination-market labeling rules (nutrition panel format, language, allergen statements) need to be confirmed before final print. Build this into your timeline rather than treating it as a late-stage step.

- Agree on a proof/approval step before full production packaging is printed.
Certifications transfer to the product, not automatically to your label
If organic, Halal, or other certification claims will appear on your private label packaging, confirm with your supplier what documentation supports that claim for your specific finished product and market, rather than assuming a certification on the bulk product automatically extends to your retail packaging without further steps.
