Answers for International Buyers

Common questions about ordering, shipping, certifications, and working with Cocopany.

A Cocopany export container being loaded at the warehouse in Indonesia

Ordering and Minimums

Most product lines start at 20 metric tons, which is roughly one 20ft container. Cocopeat and charcoal briquettes are quoted by the container instead, because compressed volume rather than weight is what fills the space.

Yes. Send us your DHL or FedEx account number and the specification you want to evaluate, and our export team will arrange the sample shipment. Sample volumes are sized for lab testing and trial runs rather than for resale.

We do, across the full range. That covers packaging and label artwork approval, specification adjustments for your destination market, and per-batch documentation issued under your own brand.

Buyers are welcome to visit. If travel is not practical, our export team runs a video walkthrough of the production line and warehouse instead, which most first-time buyers find sufficient.

Products and Specifications

Send us the specification sheet you currently work to and we will tell you plainly whether we can meet it, where our standard grade differs, and what a matching run would cost. We would rather decline a specification than miss it after you have committed.

Oils keep best in a cool, dark store away from direct sunlight, and desiccated coconut and coconut sugar need a dry environment to hold their moisture specification. Full storage guidance for the grade you order is included with the shipping documents.

Shelf life varies by product and packaging, and the figure for your specific grade is stated on the certificate of analysis for that batch. Dried copra, for example, holds for around twelve months under proper storage.

Certifications and Quality

Our facilities and product lines carry HACCP, USDA Organic, Halal Indonesia (MUI), EU Organic through Control Union under ID-BIO-149, JAS Organic, and BRCGS Food Safety. Not every certification applies to every line, so each product page lists only the ones valid for that product.

Yes. Every shipment ships with a certificate of analysis reporting the measured values for that production lot, not a generic specification sheet. Third-party inspection can be arranged at your cost if your buyer requires it.

Cocopany is the export brand of PT Barooka Global Indonesia, and we produce through our own facility rather than reselling another exporter’s cargo. That is why we can put you in touch with the production team when a specification question comes up.

Shipping and Documentation

Yes. We prepare the documents required to clear your order into your market, and we check your destination requirements before the container is booked rather than after.

  • Certificate of Analysis (COA)
  • Certificate of Origin
  • Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)
  • Bill of Lading
  • Commercial Invoice and Packing List
  • Halal and organic certificates where they apply
  • Fumigation certificate or manufacturer’s declaration where required

We ship on EXW, FOB, and CIF terms. Which one makes sense depends on your destination port and on whether you already hold a freight contract, and our team will walk you through the difference in landed cost.

Standard lead time is 14 to 30 days from confirmed order to departure, depending on the product and the volume. Orders above one container are scheduled against the production calendar, so we confirm a date before you pay a deposit.

Payment

We work with telegraphic transfer (T/T) and letter of credit (L/C). For repeat buyers we also accept 50 percent deposit against the bill of lading, with the balance on presentation of documents.

Coconut is a commodity, so quoted ranges move with the market and with the season. A quotation we issue is held for a stated validity period, and we tell you the expiry date rather than letting a stale price sit in your inbox.
