Cocopeat Blocks and Loose Coco Peat
Cocopeat is the fine, spongy pith sieved out of the coconut husk once the long fiber has been combed away. Sun dried, washed to bring the salt content down, and compressed at 5:1, a five kilogram block opens out to 70 to 85 litres of growing medium.
Two numbers decide whether a batch is usable: EC and pH. We wash to below 0.5 mS/cm and hold pH between 5.8 and 6.8, which is why our blocks work for hydroponics and for salt sensitive crops rather than only for general potting. Fibre and sand both sit below five percent.
Nurseries, hydroponic growers, and growing media distributors are the usual buyers. We supply blocks bulk or palletised with your own labelling, and loose coco peat in 25 kg bags where a customer prefers to blend it themselves.
